VERNON, N.Y. — When Utica-Rome Speedway runs its last race of the season on Oct. 4, it’s going to mark the return of the “Cole Cup” for the primary time since 2019.
The race — in recognition of longtime speedway proprietor and promoter Gene Cole — rewards the A-Verdi Storage Containers Patriot Dash Tour (PST) 360 Dash Automotive winner with a $5,000 payday.
Danny Varin claimed the one PST 360 Dash Automotive win of the season on the “Dwelling of Heroes” again on June 17.
